    I think the scientific evidence is against that.

    The perception that "Asians are smart" has more to do with social, cultural, and political factors than any measurable differences in innate intelligence (which is a tough thing to measure anyway).

    I believe, like the Germans, Dutch, Belgians, Scandinavians, they get a better education and are more motivated to better themselves.

    We have a very large, bountiful country and have grown to fantacize that we had something to do with that. We are sitting on our laurels and waiting for our next happy surprise to be handed to us.

    Thing is, our future surprises are not gonna be that happy.

    We can't blame the republicans for making us a third world country; we helped them.

    it's actually a sort of positive racist attitude if people think so.
    imo.... intelligence and utilization of it,doesn't depend on race.
