• well...yes.
  drugs of certain categories are "illegal" in certain areas of the world. there are countries which will impose the death sentence on people for possession of pot.
  (I forgot which asian country had such laws).

• it is people who are drug users who want to make them legal.
  now as to the example holland.
  holland has done a stunning experiment.
  they legalized not only pot. they places busses in squares and street corner to give addicts steril needles, or if they wanted to methadone, to wean off drugs.
  the legalizations have not increased usage or crime. this is the most important factor.
  I am personally for a " clear mind".
  too many in the usa already take prescription drugs which "lull" the mind into complacancy.
  so reality is I am for strict drug laws.

  I dictate nothing.
  the law is the law. I am against drugs in those geographical areas in which it is prohibited by law. simple as that.
  I could not care less what others choose. if people wish to go to prison for possession, fine by me. :-)

• LeP, we just differ in view. and a majority on this website has no impact on changing state laws.
  I assume no one or very few who actually created the laws read the view of Potheads wanting to promote legalization of drugs in their area.
  I just follow laws...simple as that. even if it was legal, i would not smoke pot.
