at what age is a child able to be left alone at home.... if a child can babysit someone elses children at age 11

    In WA state a child is allowed to be left alone for up to 5 hours starting at age 11. I'm not sure how that law applies to an 11 year old babysitting younger children though.
    Personally I think it depends on the 11 year old as to whether you should leave him/her alone and for how long ( up to the 5 hour limit).
