please advise a safe way 2 remove tree sap pine sap from auto paint with out damage thank you

    wd-40, spray the spot and wipe it gone, hose it off..its water soluable so its safe. I use it as a hand cleaner also..spray it on away goes tar, sap, asphalt, bugs, paint...works like magic

    Bug and tar remover from an auto store?

    Lots of low grade solvents can't disolve the clear coat on modern cars.
    I have used gasoline too.
    We don't worry about stripping the paint off cars at the gas station, right?
