why does my 92 subaru legacy smoke and wreak of gas and plug wires keep popping off while driving?

    The two problems sound related. If yours plug wires come off then there is no way for your fuel to ignite. So you have gas getting pumped into your engine. It cant ignite and is then pushed out when your exhaust valve opens up. So you have unburnt fuel traveling through your exhaust which explains the smell. If I had to guess the smoke is most likely black as this would indicate unburnt fuel. change your plugs wires and see if that fixes it. also will your in there change your spark plugs (there cheap and there is no telling when they were last changed)

    there are two reasons
    A: you are too stupid to know what a poll is.
    II: you are too stupid to change your spark plug wires
    3: your sparkplug wires and/or distributor are going bad.
