I have a 1989 Isuzu 4x4 pickup why does it start and stalls?

    Well, if you live where it's cold, then the engine block could just be frozen, or colder than usual, and therfore stalls when you apply the gas becasue it can't heat the components enough to get a reaction. If this is the case, then you should let your SUV heat up five to ten minutes prior to driving it.

    If that is not the case, I have a friend who drives a Trooper that could give you a more extensive component analysis.
