He hadn't gone through puberty yet, and they had a unisex name? Notice how I am not asking if you would let them, rather would you want them to??? I'm wondering, because I know a kid this age, and he looks like child still, and EVERYONE has mistaken him for a girl. He doesn't seem to mind, but part of me wants to chop off his hair.

I would let too if they didn't care... I just wouldn't want them too, because It'd just be frustrating to hear everyone saying "Oh, your daughter's so cute" But I wouldn't force them to cut it if they didn't want too.
