I have a PS2 Silver Slimline. I put in MLB 2K09 and the screen turned black and "Loading..." appeared in white. The disc was still spinning but the tv screen would not change. I tried wiping the game disc but did not help. How do I fix this problem?

My slimeline ps2 has always been able to play dvds perfectly, however recently it has been playing dvds and either halfway or repeatedly at differently points it would suddenly stop playing. Can some one tell why it does this and how to fix it.

When I put in a PS2 game, it will try a few times to load up, but then finally it just won't play. Then I go into the browzer, and it says "Disc read error." There's nothing wrong with the disc, yet that's the only one that won't play. Why is this?
