I was wondering if my ps2 could be a replacement for the dvd player on the surround? How do I hook up my ps2 to a dvd surround sound?

I just went into system configuration on my PS2 and tried to change it to the component hookup and it asked me if I wanted Y1Pb1Pr1 or RFG...I selected the Y1Pb1Pr1 and then all of the sudden the signal failed...what do I do now?
