I have a PS2 and San Andreas, and its frustrating as hell. I tend to throw my controllers and they eventually broke. I took it apart and examined it, and CJ appears to be in a blocking position, and L1 seems to be stuck down. Tips?

Our PS2 will only allow 1 controller to work at a time. Both controllers will work in either port, but they will not work at the same time. We bought a splitter and the PS2 still would only recognize 1 controller, no matter which port we used.
