My power went out today and my cpu was off but still plugged in to a power strip that was on.after we got power back i tried turning it on but the power light blinks amber.the power strip works and ive tried evrything at the dell website.any sugestions?

My power supply stopped working after I tried to scan with my new color laser printer on. Both heavy power users. I checked and am sure the PSU is bad. I installed a new PSU and everything powers up but I can't get a picture. Tried resetting the BIOS.

My acer model BL51 does not turned on. some time it turn on and stay on for two hour and after that it drains battery to zero. it does not see power adaptor so it does not turn on again. it seems that after a while its power circuit kicks out.

Lightning struck near my house last night causing my accidentally plugged in laptop to spark at the place where it was plugged in. the laptop works but refuses to charge. Is this an internal problem or a problem with the power cord?

HP dv9917cl power cord light goes off and on, the battery comes on when the light goes off. I can jiggle the cord, it will work for several minutes, then it goes off again with no interferance. I'm not sure if it is the cord or the port. suggestions?

The case fans and bezel lights turn on after my friends computer is completely powered down. I'm pretty sure I disabled all the auto wake functions in BIOS. The computer does NOT boot up when this happens. Bad PS or something with the MOBO?
