I messed up my old xbox, got a new one, and switched over my HDD and mod chip, both are working. I'm getting screen telling me to service my xbox. I didn't mod my xbox, it came that way. I'm using the pogopin x-bit. Should I be able to make the switch?

I made a big mistake. I installed a v1.5 motherboard into a v1.6 case. I did not realize there was a difference. The 1.6 has an extra ground pin on the base, which shorted my 1.5 board. It does not power up at all now. Is it fixable or trash now? HELP.
