I had my iud removed, from repeated bacterial infections. When it was removed the string was black and half of the copper rings on the stem of the "t" shape was disolved. Is this normal for an IUD have the copper rings disolve?

Which IUDs are smaller (and have lower expulsion rates for nulliparous women with small uteruses) than the Mirena or Paragard? I am aware of the Canadian Flexi-T and Nova-T and the European Gynefix. I cannot use the mirena and have xpelled paragard twice.
