Why can't the government revalue money like they did in the 1930's? Close the banks for a week, redo everyone's accounts. If you had $15,000, now you'd only have $1000, but it would be WORTH $1000.

Fort Knox is supposed to hold all the gold represented by each dollar. At one time this was true. Do you think that the gold is not there anymore, and has been spent by the government? Which would mean that the economy was then double it's size.
