My truck wont start it wants to crank over but wont .. could the problem be fuel pump? or something with fuel injection? was running fine then went to start up wont crank over? any advice for me??/ (2009-12-07)

I HAVE A 1986 FORD F-150 XL SUPERCAB WITH A5.8L/351W 4 BARREL HOLLEY. IT IDLES GREAT. IN PARK I CAN REV THE MOTOR &IT DOES FINE. WHEN I PUT IT IN DRIVE &EASE INTO THE GAS IT DOES FINE. BUT,IF I ACCELERATE TOO HARD IT POPS LIKE ITS BACKFIRING.WHATS WRONG?
