When I plug in my fridge in the outdoor patio, the GFI sometimes pops out. Sometimes, it'll run for a couple days, and then the GFI pops and won't stay on until I unplug the fridge. Is this a problem with the fridge or electrical?

Is there ANY risk of electric shock/electrocution by my turning the breaker switches in the breaker panel off or on? Due to the cost of electricity, I do this 1-2 times a day after our water heater has heated up the water enough for a day/evening, etc.

Why would a white wire melt behind a receptacle? The white side of the receptacle was scortched and about an inch of the insulation on the white wire was melted. A microwave was plugged in and it did not trip the circuit when it was in use.

I just had a 30amp outlet put outside my home to run a welder. However, my worksite is probably 75 feet from my home. Can I make an extension cord out of 10/2 service wire if I buy a similar plug and outlet? The electrician ran 10/2 from breaker box
