Does having 2 members of a single unit, able to only count as one membership vote, sitting on the Board of Directors pose an issue for counting a BOD quorum? Or do they each get a vote as BOD members while only a single vote for membership votes?

Our HOA is 82% funded and has no forseable major expenses in the next couple of years. (each home is responsible for thier own paint and roof). Is it legal to give all the homeowners a "holiday gift" of a skipped payment?

In Texas, how can I get out of an HOA? I bought an empty lot that is part of a subdivision (based on the title), but has not been part of the HOA. But my lot is physically separated from the subdivision by a creek. The HOA can't really benefit me.

Can a Board of directors annex an association into a city, without the permission of the HOA. contending they may do anything in the best interests of the association. The CC&Rs does not contain any language about annexation, one way or the other.

I bought my home where RV's and boats were clearly allowed when I purchased my house. Now, a quorum has revised the deed restrictions to eliminate RV's but still allow boats. City and County ordinance allow RV's yet I was singled out by a few neighbors.

I just received my 2009 HOA dues increase for my condo in Arizona. My fees went from 189/mo to 226.80/mo (20% increase). Plus, I also received a special assessment notice to pay $700. Is this amount of increase legal? Does someone know AZ laws?
