Dipping aquarium plants in 5% bleach for roughly 3 minutes is a known method for removing algae. Here is my question:
Can this be done with driftwood as well, without absorbing/leaching significant bleach into my tank?

My fish tank goes green quicker than it used to. We got the two pretty good sized goldfish in the fall and the water didn't get really green until 2 1/2 weeks. Now we have to change the water every week if we want to see the fish. Whats happening?
