Television Producer

  • Step 1:
    A television producer is responsible for the content and quality of the show, the cast and writers. Jobs include executive producer, line producer (sits next to the director during actual show taping), segment producer, online content producer and field producer (works on location producing show segments).

Television Director

  • Step 1:
    The television director is responsible for the technical quality of the show and manages the crew and equipment. You could work as a director in broadcasting or in episodic television.

Television Camera Work

  • Step 1:
    Television Cameraman - H Assaf/Stock.xchngTelevision camera people shoot sports, news, live broadcasts, television series, soap operas and talk shows and often travel to the show location.

Television Engineer

  • Step 1:
    Television engineers maintain all of the technical equipment inside television studios, on location or at television broadcast towers. Broadcast engineers have electrical engineering, computer and information technology experience.

Television Video Editor

  • Step 1:
    Video editors assemble television shows for networks, local television stations or independent video production companies.

Television Writer

  • Step 1:
    Television writers work for local news broadcasts, entertainment studios and networks creating scripts for news, dramas, comedies and talk shows.
