Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • notebook
  • pen
  • Step 1:
Sit down in a quiet and secluded space
calm down if you are still angry and upset about anything to do with racism
  • Step 2:
Write down your thoughts about what you think about racism and all races
    * do not filter or censor them
  • Step 3:
On a different page write down all the experiences you can think of that deal with racism that have happened to you personally
  • Step 4:
Once you are more calm, on a different page write a letter to the person who has shown racism towards you.
  • Step 5:
Go back and reread all the tings you have written
(more than likely you will notice that towards the first couple of pages your handwriting is sloppy and angry)
  • Step 6:
Then most importantly have someone you trust and feel comfortable talking to come over and talk to them and if you like show them what you have written
  • Step 7:
If you are able give the person who showed racism towards you the letter that you wrote them
(if you don't feel comfortable doing this you can tear it up and throw it away, you just have to get rid of it)
