How to Troubleshoot a Sylvania TV

Instructions

  • Step 1:
    Locate your Sylvania TV user's manual. Use the index in the front or back of your manual to identify the page number with the TV part that is having a problem. Be sure to look for a troubleshooting or common problems section listed in the manual.
  • Step 2:
    Check the settings and details of your problem against the settings and information recommended by your Sylvania TV manual. Change settings as necessary to fix the problem. Experiment with troubleshooting steps from your manual to identify the optimal settings and solution for your issue. Note steps you take to relate to a customer service professional later, should the problem go unsolved.
  • Step 3:
    Call, email or troubleshoot with customer support. Visit the Sylvania TV customer support website, located in the references section. Select the type of hardware causing your problem to troubleshoot external connections. Move your cursor over "Support" on the left side to select "Find your LCD TV" and click. Select your model to view the user manual or technical specifications. Select "Contact" from the left-hand menu bar to view the customer service help line to call for personalized assistance and troubleshooting.
