Instructions

  • Step 1:
Compare free ezine services (see Resources below). Note how many subscribers are allowed, how the subscription process functions and whether you can upgrade later. Also note whether you can export your list to another service if you are not satisfied.
  • Step 2:
Sign up with the free ezine service provider of your choice, and get to work on you first issue. You may not have any subscribers for your first issue, but at least you’ll have an issue in the archives for those who want to see what your ezine is all about before subscribing.
  • Step 3:
Find free content for your ezine. There are entire websites full of articles written for distribution in ezines, and all the authors ask in return is for their bios and links to remain intact (see Resources below).
  • Step 4:
Promote your ezine. Other ezine publishers may be willing to swap ads with you, and you can promote your ezine on your website or in forums for free. There are also ezine directories that you can submit your publication to (see Resources below).

Tips & Warnings

  • If possible, include some original content in your ezine. While you can find high-quality, relevant articles on ezine article sites, your readers will also want to find things in your ezine that they can’t find elsewhere.
