Instructions

  • Step 1:
Log on to the cruise line's web site that you will be using for your cruise. The web site will give you a lot of information about the types of cruises available. Choose the cruise that you will want to go on, and call the 800 number listed on the web site to book your cruise.
  • Step 2:
Tell the booking agent from the cruise line that you would like to be paired up with a fellow single passenger in your room. Be honest and up from about not wanting to pay double occupancy just for you.
  • Step 3:
Go directly to your cabin when you get on your cruise. Introduce yourself to the person that you will be rooming with over the cruise.
  • Step 4:
Discuss what you plan on getting out of the cruise experience with your new roommate. Ask him what he hopes to get out of the cruise. This may be quiet rest or even wild nights of partying. This will give you and your roommate an idea of what to expect.
  • Step 5:
Set guidelines for bringing other people back to the room. Also discuss being quiet when coming back to the room late, and address any habits that might annoy or bother your roommate.
  • Step 6:
Offer to go explore the cruise ship with your roommate. This would be a great way for the two of you to get to know each other. Remember you are in the same boat!
