Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • Step 1:
Clean your soap by rinsing it under the kitchen sink. Make sure to remove any stray hairs or dirt. Pat dry with your hand towel.
  • Step 2:
Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol into your squirt bottle and set aside.
  • Step 3:
Grate your old soap with your cheese grater. Place grated soap into your glass measuring cup.
  • Step 4:
Put the measuring cup into the microwave and melt on high. Melt the soap for 30 seconds then stir. If it is not liquefied, continue melting in 15 second increments.
  • Step 5:
Stir the melted soap and make sure it's completely liquefied.
  • Step 6:
Pour the soap into the molds.
  • Step 7:
Squirt the rubbing alcohol onto the back of the soap. This will remove any air bubbles.
  • Step 8:
Allow the soap to sit for a few hours to solidify and cool. Once the soap has cooled, pop your new hand soap out of the molds.

Tips & Warnings

  • The soap will be very hot when you remove it from your microwave, so use oven mitts.
