Things You’ll Need:

  • Cooked meat
  • Date you put the cooked meat in the fridge
  • Inside temperature of your fridge
  • Step 1:
    Store cooked meat and dishes containing meat; they should last three to four days in a 35 to 40 degree fridge.
  • Step 2:
    Store gravy and meat broths; they will last about one to two days in a 35 to 40 degree fridge.
  • Step 3:
    Store chicken and turkey (pieces covered with broth or sauce, or not covered). All of these poultry dishes will last about one to two days in a 35 to 40 degree fridge.
  • Step 4:
    Store cooked poultry dishes. These will also last about one to two days in a 35 to 40 degree fridge.
  • Step 5:
    Store fried chicken. This will last about one to two days in a 35 to 40 degree fridge, but the longer you leave it in the fridge, the soggier the crust will become.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want your cooked meat dishes to last a little longer, turn down the temp on your fridge a couple of degrees, it will help all your food last a little longer.
