How to Get Pregnant While Taking Birth Control Pills

Instructions

  • Step 1:
    Forget to take the birth control pills. Birth control pills must be taken each day in order to prevent pregnancy. Most pharmacies offer patients a pill holder that allows users to keep track of the pill they take each day.
  • Step 2:
    Use antibiotics. Some antibiotics may interfere with the effectiveness of the pill. Consult with your doctor carefully if you are concerned about antibiotic use while taking the pill.
  • Step 3:
    Take birth control pills much later than usual. Doctors recommend you take birth control pills at the same time each day. Taking a pill several hours later than you normally take it may compromise the effectiveness of the pill.
  • Step 4:
    Take the wrong pill. Many birth control pills involve two kinds of pills---ones with hormones and placebos. The two kinds of pills are clearly labeled, and taking the wrong one at the wrong time can void the pill's effects.
  • Step 5:
    Forget to use additional contraceptives if you miss pills. If you think you may have done something to interfere with the effectiveness of the pill, you should use another form of birth control if having intercourse that night.

  • It is never a good idea to attempt to get pregnant while on birth control pills. If you are trying to get pregnant, stop taking the pills and talk with your doctor.
