How to Check a Web History

Instructions

  • Step 1:
    Open your web browser (like Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari).
  • Step 2:
    Press and hold down the "Ctrl" + "H" keys. This will open your web browser history to the left of main browser window. The above command works in most browsers. It will not work in Safari. Instead, click on "History" in the top menu.
  • Step 3:
    Click on date to expand the folder and view sites visited. If you wish to delete the history, right-click the date folder and click "Delete."

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want to turn the "History" feature off on your web browser, go into the "Internet Options" of your browser and deselect "Remember visited pages" under "History."
