How to Become a Foot Fetish Photographer
Wednesday, August 27, 2008
InstructionsThings You’ll Need:- Quality camera
- Tripod
- Selection of lenses
- Photographic lights
- Foot models
Step 1: To become a foot fetish photographer you first need to understand a little bit about the business and techniques of taking pictures. You will need to develop an understanding of how to light your subject and show it off to its best advantage. Much foot fetish work obviously consists of close-up pictures. You will need to possess the proper lighting and lenses. A tripod will help to keep your pictures even, preventing any unnecessary hand movements.Step 2: To take a picture of a person's feet, you will need to find a method for bringing out detail and preferably for eliminating blemishes. Overhead lighting is flattering to most people. It will also flatter particular body parts and bring them out more clearly. To further bring out form you can use frontal lighting. Strong frontal lighting can make an object appear grotesque, but soft frontal lighting can actually accentuate the form of a beautiful foot. It can also blur unsightly blemishes by focusing attention on the shape of the foot.Step 3: Select a lens on the order of 50 mm or greater to allow for close up photography. Much of your work will be at close range. As a foot fetish photographer, you will be looking at the model's feet much as other photographers might take pictures of faces or individual objects. Filters also might help soften the look or show off particular details you wish to emphasize. Black and white can be an excellent choice to give an arty feel to your shots.Step 4: To really succeed as a foot fetish photographer requires knowing your audience. Browse the Internet. Look at what similar photographers are doing. Many specialize in certain kinds of foot subjects. Observe what distinguishes the work of one from another. Some foot fetish photographers are foot artists specializing in painting nails and performing pedicures. Do what you need to do bring out highlight your subjects' feet. Look for unusual footwear, or alternative angle. Use your imagination. Come up with new poses. And always make sure you pick the most appealing subjects. Don't just go out and photograph any foot. Find what you know your audience wants to see.
