Instructions

Crossover

  • Step 1:
The right side of the brain perceives sensory information from the left side of the body and also controls muscle movement on that side of the body. The left side of the brain perceives sensory information from the right side of the body and also controls muscle movement on that side of the body.

Language

  • Step 1:
The right side of the brain processes language in approximately 95 percent of those who are right-handed and 70 percent of those those who are left-handed.

Right-Brain Behavior Control

  • Step 1:
The right side of the brain typically processes music, spatial abilities, visual imagery and facial recognition.

Left-Brain Behaviors

  • Step 1:
The left side of the brain deals more with logical abilities and mathematical calculations.

Dominance

  • Step 1:
You may be left-brain dominant, right-brain dominant or left/right brain balanced. If you are left-brained dominant, you are typically organized, concerned with details and prefer routines. If you are right-brain dominant, you prefer to just go with the flow, multitask and are most concerned with ideas. If you do not have a significant right- or left-brain dominance, you are considered to be balanced. While this sounds ideal, it can be a challenge since the brain sometimes attempts to solve problems using conflicting methods.
