It's one of those situations that you can't help but laugh at, yet there are real lives at stake, so it turns from funny to completely depressing and horrifying : (

They point that you are missing is that the rules governing sexuality are reaffirmed in the New Testament.

Mmhmm, but is the death penalty for them removed? Or does the rest of what I said still stand...
by Twhupfold on June 21st, 2007
I think it's convenient that we can go back and edit what's considered to be a holy book.

Not all christians rule out the old testament. i believe your being stereotypical. But thank you for pointing out the verse. Hate the sin not the sinner.
by Greekgod on March 30th, 2008
They 'must' be put to death; hate the sin and love the sinner all you want to, but you also need to kill them while you're at it...

People try so hard to find a reason to justify their questionable actions because deep down they feel shame about them. If you felt no shame about them, you wouldn't really care what people thought. And what makes your voice "right" all the time? Ironic, you want to argue that there is no absolute truth, but you feel you are right all the time.

Idk why some Christians say that the old testament doesn't count anymore but for you to group all Christians with the hypocrites is equal to me grouping all gays with the stereotypical gay person. I don't btw I think a gay person can be as manly as anyone else if that's how his personality makes him appear. I don't hate gays I feel bad that they have these feelings and don't know that if they continue this way they will be condemned to hell for all eternity. As for your hygiene comment I admittedly don't read my bible like I'm supposed to and therefore don't know what you're talking about but I don't want to give up on you. Leviticus doesn't ever say that anyone hates gays. Just that they should be punished. Idk what verse this is but I remember a verse that goes "Better to have a millstone tied around your neck and cast into the ocean than to harm a child" (I can almost guarantee that is not an accurate quote definetly not word for word so don't use my wording against me.) ANYWAYS I brought that up to explain that it's not that God hates gays it's that every sin needs punishment. Since God sent Jesus to die for our sins, we don't recieve that kind of punishment. But that doesn't mean we can sin whenever we want and not have to feel bad. Being gay is percieved as more of a sin than say drinking and cussing because it involves more time to make the choice as opposed to just say a cuss word and it's over or just drink a small glass (8 times) and It's not getting drunk. If you want total honesty I will tell you that although most Christians think that being gay is worse than cussing or whatever, God says that all sins are equal. Idk if you can be gay and recieve forgivness and go to heaven. I feel that you cannot be gay, ask for forgivness, and never intend to try to stop being gay. I hope that informs you well enough.

ithought the onlyy thing that didnt kount in the old testament was the part where a man can't have more than one wife or where family members couldn't sleep with eachother everything else counts -.-

We are also not required to offer burnt sacrifices anymore. However, God has never deviated on the issues of basic morality. As I pointed out above and as seems to have been almost completely ignored by most of the other respondents on this question, the condemnation of homosexual behavior is reaffirmed in the New Testament.

Whether it is the old testemant or the new testament, they are all God's laws. The only reason people say that the old testament doesn't count is because they are making excuses and conforming to today's world which is wrong.... If it is in the Bible, it is true word and law! The very last sentence says" Do not add to or take away from this the Bible!" this is God's word....

One more thing, it isn't for us to judge, that is God's job, it is for us to love as God loves us! that means to love All unconditionally!
