no. i have a 10 Gal fish tank and they do not live poorly. i got my angelfish from Wal-Mart and it is perfectily fine.he did fine when he was small too. i only have 4 fake plants in there and decortive shells. also 2 slugs and he lives fine. he started dying when i didt keep his water at 72.7 or 73.00. it is a perfect temp. Yes he is 7.1/4 of an inch. and i only hade him for 2 years. (the biggest they can get is 6 in, but he is about 7 in)he is a freshwater fish. later on i will send you a pic of him. if you want me to email me.

    • 72.7 or 73 is a very bad, and unnatural temperature for Angelfish!

77 to 82 is a much more natural temperature! They might seem ok, but it is pretty cruel to keep them in very tiny aquariums. Experts generally say 30 gallons or better!
