Lieberman's settlement bars Russian-Israeli families from buying homes

Settlers in Nokdim, home to Russian-born FM, fear new residents not classified as Jewish by halakhic law could corrupt local morals.

The Nokdim secretariat ruled two weeks ago to bar non-Jewish Russian-Israelis from buying homes in the small Bethlehem-area settlement where Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman makes his home. The decision came after a frenzied debate between residents over whether the entry of individuals not considered Jewish by religious law would lead to "assimilation" or improper behavior on the part of veteran residents and their children.
The current fracas was sparked after a number of families of Russian origin applied to be accepted in the community. In each of the families, at least one member is not Jewish according to halakha, or religious law. Nokdim is a mixed community of religious and secular Israelis, both native and Russian-speaking, in the Gush Etzion settlement bloc southeast of Jerusalem.

After several residents expressed opposition to admitting the families, the settlement's absorption committee decided to bring up the issue at a secretariat meeting. Two weeks ago the panel decided the families' applications would be rejected.

Nokdim's secretary, Yossi Heiman, told Haaretz: "If there were an easy solution to this issue, we wouldn't have to hold hearings on it. There are many considerations both ways; there are also strong arguments in favor of accepting these families. But, ultimately, the majority decided they were opposed to such a high number of these families coming in and changing the community's demographics.

"The biggest problem is that if you accept 10 families in which the mother isn't Jewish, then soon there will be 30 children, and tomorrow your son could fall in love with the good-looking girl next door. It's a real pr

    Palestine

Here is the real story about the Arab Palestinian/Israeli conflict.

    In precise,
Palestine is an Arab land all the way . There were some Arab Jews (I mean Arab speaking the Arabic Language) living side by side with the Arabs in Palestine and in other countries such as Iraq, Morocco, Libya, Yemen and Egypt with small numbers.

When Europeans and other nations expelled the Jews for many reasons attributed to the Jews built aggressiveness, dishonesty and else. Please browse:

    http://www.biblebelievers.org.au/expelled.htm

and after the Nazi's (so called) massacre of the Jews for the same reasons, they flee to other nations who did not want them too, the Zionist Movement, lead at that time by Theodor Herzl and others, planned with the westerns leaders to find a land for the Jews. They had several choices at that time including Mozambique, Uganda, Congo, Cyprus and other states. The Jews did not show any interest in any of these lands and failed Herzl who thought of a thing that could collect the Jews and stir their emotions. Then his thinking led him to the so called "the promised land" which is the Arab land for thousands of years "Palestine".

They put their scheme and after the 2nd world war, Palestine and the Arab land was part of the Othmani Empire. After the collapse of the Othmani Empire after the second world war, the Palestine fill under the British colonialism. Britain at that time closed an eye on the Jews immigration "remember these are Zionists, they don't speak Arabic" from all over the world especially from Germany and the Soviet Union. Then, the British promised the Jews to give them Palestine "Belfour Promise to the Jews in 1917) to build a Jew state on the Arab land (PALESTINE):

He gave what he did not own to those who don’t own it, causing all the sufferings to the Arab Palestinians since then, and which also caused suffering to all people who supported Israel either soldiers or else.

This suffering continued till today and caused many other pains in Iraq, Afghanistan, USA and elsewhere in the world.

To this conflict better and un-bias way, keeping in mind that this is an Arab land all the way, please browse:

I know that the Jews are much powerful than us financially, politically and holding the world media (T.V, NEWSPAPERS, THE INTERNET) and have thousands of Israeli sites which explain the issue otherwise, I still believe that your people should seek the truth wherever it may be and find it. Stand beside the Arab Palestinians who lost everything including lives, land, homes, trees, holy land... everything, and most of them deported outside their home land. I'm one of them. I left Palestine during the second invasion to Palestine on 1967. I'm 53 years old and never been able to go back home!

Imagine, a state with different language, different races, different traditions and different minds occupy a land which is the heart of the Arab world and was and still an Arab land!

All neighbouring nations in the world have similarities either in language, culture or religions except Israel because it does not belong HERE!

    • Careful. Palestine is a land, not an ethnicity. The Jews and Christians living in Palestine are no less Palestinian than the Muslims living in Palestine. Islam has numerous states throughout the Middle East, including Jordan. The Jews have just as much right to a state of their own.

As for immigration, there were just as many Jewish refugees from all over the Arab world as there were Muslim refugees from Palestine. The Jewish refugees were absorbed into their country. The real question is why the Muslim refugees have not been absorbed into theirs. The answer? They are being used by Muslim countries as a weapon against the Jews.
