My xbox controller is not working correctly. when i play it says reconnect controller?
what do i do?

Is it wireless? This is what happens when your wireless controller is losing battery power. Replace the batteries or better yet, purchase the 'play and charge' kit. For $20 its worth it. If it's not wireless, have a friend bring their controller over to test your xbox.
