How do you get files from the afp:// protocol in windows?

    It depends, but you should be able to setup your OS X server or workstation for SMB connectivity. This will allow windows workstations to see your mac's files. This option is available on OS X in System Preferences under 'Sharing'. You would have to configure your workgroup manager and server settings to get it working with OS X Server.

    • IC. I am trying to access the physics faculties afp site. Since I obviously can't make those changes that you suggested, I guess I have no other choice but to use the mac's at the faculty. (They're the old macs with os 8. They only have one button.

    • Are you just trying to get your files transferred back and forth? Buy a usb thumb drive or put in a request for them to add smb or ftp file access.

    • Yeh thats what I ended up doing. Transferred via a USB drive.
