There has recently been discovery of a large gas field near to the coast of Gaza. Since its discovery and a deal that apportions the gas wealth between the Palestinians, Egypt and Israel, Israel has decided to steal it. The war in Gaza and the attack on shipping is to prevent any benefit to Gaza. The next conflict is building up towards Lebanon in order that Israel can steal the Levithan gas field which is off the Lebanonese coast.
