I can feel something just below my left ribs. Sometimes I also feel a burning sensation there. Is this cause for concern?

    Yes, especially if it is painful. Ribs cover not only your lungs, but also other organs like your intestines, liver, kidneys etc. It is possible that you have an infection in one of them. You could also possibly have a hernia (tear) or cyst (growth) in there. Talk to a doctor and tell them what you are experiencing, they might do a cat scan on you to see what is up. It is possible that it is caused by something small like indigestion, but it's not worth the risk. My father had a pain in his stomach that travelled up under his rib cage and he ignored it as first. It turned out that he has a cyst in one of the intestines and it had ruptured, spreading poisonous fluid throughout his organs. We almost lost him. Get checked out!
