In a domed stadium, what happens if a fly ball strikes part of the roof?

    The rule is generally as follows:

    If a batted ball strikes the roof, it shall be judged Fair or Foul based on where it strikes the ground after hitting the roof. If caught by a fielder, the player is out and base-runners may advance at their own risk.

    There are some exceptions to this rule, depending on where the game is being played.
