Help answer this question below.

Who would win? A doz. viking longboats each filled with 6 warriors armed with broadswords, bows, shields and daggers wearing chainmail with helmets or 40 1500's knights on horseback armed with flintock pistols, swords, and pikes??? Knights wear full plate

    At sea the wikings would win, because knights and horses dont swim very well with armor on.

    On land I think the nights would win. Wiking fighting tactics primarily consisted of a mad charge at the enemy, Cavalry is a bad target for that (they can ride faster than the attackers can run), and the flintlocks would be useful in breaking such a charge killing many in the front ranks so those behind have to clamber over their corpses (that tend to take a lot of spirit out of the surviving soldiers).
