This is different from caffeine withdrawal which is merely a feeling of intense fatigue. Caffeine hangover feels terrible.

When I drink too much coffee, to the point of not being able to sleep during the night, I feel terrible the next day. Normally, I develop a mild flushing (redness) of the skin from the caffeine hangover, my joints ache and I get a mild headache that lasts all day. The only way to fix a caffeine hangover is to wait it out, until your body balances back out an the symptoms wear off (generally about 12 hours after you wake up). Caffeine hangover can be likened to "over sleeping" which has some of the same symptoms, only they are much worse with a caffeine hangover. Drinking more caffeine will not fix a caffeine hangover, because it is caused by the caffeine its self.
