How would you feel about a man not wanting to be a father taking the child to a Hospital ER to be abandon under the State Safe Haven Law?

Laws vary from state to state, with allowances of up to one year after the birth of the child. Only four states require it to be the mother. He could do this without the mother knowing why he wanted to take the child for the day.

Well if say she is trusting enough to give him the child and yes there are ding bat women like that out there, drugs are amazing sometimes- I would say it says alot about her for handing the child over. If that was not the case and it was a kidnapping I hope they catch him. And if none of the two were the case I guess a hospital is better than the dumpster. Overall he is not a man. I would wish I was in a financial situation to take the child and raise it myself but with this economy I'm doing good just to feed myself.

    • The problem is that a mother can promise not to go after the father for child support, but it is an empty promise as she can wait up to 23 years to file for up to 18 years of retroactive child support. She he be allowed to use this law to give up his responsibility for a child, just as a mother can?
