Does anyone have recommendations for a good set of strings for a 12-string acoustic guitar?

    Hi SarahK, It really depends if you already play and have calloused finger tips. If you have then a set of 9s or 10s are real good for a 12 a string set, that would make your 3rd(G) string about a 20, it's tuned to the 3rd fret of the 1st string. If your new and have soft fingers, you can get a set of 8s, then your 3rd would be about 16/17 very thin but easier to handle and make you want to play rather than give up, but whatever you are, it's a hard road and a long road but the best journey you'll ever make. I have been playing nearly 50 years, I'm still learning and Ive loved every second of it. I hope this helps. Ron :-)
