Help answer this question below.

It seems every time I turn on the TV,there is a commercial for some type of pill for a illness, are we becoming a nation of pill poppers? Dont get me started on Erectile Dysfunction

    I object to these commercials, and can't impagine myself going to the doctor and telling him that "I heard on TV that..." But the commercials must work because drug companies are spending billions on them.

    Not only for E/R but also for depression, all sorts of stomach ailments, alzheimers, and so forth.

    And remeber this: whether the commercials work or not, the consumer pays for them when he/she purchases the drug--even when the insurance company pays...eventually the cost somes back to the consumer.
