Get ranking on search engine your need to use SEO for your site.you can do link submission article submission blog comment forum posting these techniques will be helpful to you for directory submission you try http://www.ablsearch.com/directory/ or mastermoz.
For article submission you can prefer egine.
These are good sources for getting good rank.
