Help answer this question below.

How can i tell if my bitch is pregnant? She is now between 3-4 weeks. She is a chocy lab, he is a choc miniture poodle. He couldnt get a tie, so it was a slip mating, although he deffinately managed to do the business before pulling out!

    I am not sure if you can tell this early but check her nipples...one of the first signs is that the hair surrounding them thins and disappears (in preparation of puppies sucking), they can appear to be bigger and may look engorged and towards the end of the pregnancy may produce colostrum if squeezed (don't!), your bitch may appear to be putting on some weight and may be eating more or demanding more to eat (oh a lab - well more than usual LOL), she may also be looking for a place to 'nest' with her puppies...some bitches do this some don't. Problem is that the male is small in breed and she may produce small puppies and so won't appear overly large and pregnant...certainly get a vet check and he can advise you (if she is) on how to feed her and anything else you may need to prepare. I think a dogs pregnancy is approx 70 days??? I am not really sure about that hopefully someother ABer can tell us that...goodluck.
