GIRLS: Periods suck! But can you imagine living back in the old days, in big poofy dresses with corsets, no tampons and sometimes no running water!?

    And no Pads either! My mother, who is 86 now said they used to use rags. The whole neighbourhood knew when she was on "the rag". She had to wash them and hang them on the outside clothesline.
