Why are parents and teens drifting apart?

    Well I can tell you it isn't because of lack of communication. I can tell you that I am a teen and of something is really really important then my parents will know, but if its stupid little silly things well they don't need to know. Being drunk and closet cutting all have signs that any good parent could find. The only thing is that I know I don't like going to my parents, its fine if they come to me. Teens like me also drift apart because we are getting older and no offense or anything but parents are not cool. Its the natural thing, no normal teen WON'T drift away. But of course by the time we hit 20 everything will be back to normal.If you have a teen, don't worry.
