Do you prefer the American way to write dates (mm/dd/yy) or the European way? (dd/mm/yy)

    european,it makes more sense.The date starts with the smallest unit(days)and ends with the largest of the 3(year),where as the americans write it starting with the second largest,then the smallest then the largest,its so confusing!! and makes no sense at all.
