To BOYS! Do you think he care about me? Should he be forgiven?

We have been known about each other for 7 months as close friends. Finally he said "I love you" to me and asked me out formally for the FIRST time.(say Sunday) But till to THAT day, he didn't give me any more info about it but only told me we had to postpond it coz sth come up after everything. Actually he attended a Friend's Bday party playing to the wee hours the last day which made him sleep almost whole day on Sunday !

I feel so down and upset for the following reasons.
1 I treasure this day so much but he appears not caring about it at all ,
because he chose his friend rather than me.
2 He should have let me know whether we will meet or not the day before rather than having me waiting . I regard it's resonable to consider him as an unreliable person .
3 He still didn't realize how wrong he is!

I know woman are emotional maybe im not objective. so Plz help me out in ths case.....
