    • Then they would desert. In fact, they'd kill their CO and desert anyway.

    • I'd think if they were to serve then they'd have to have earned some kind of reward, like a pardon or time removed off their sentences, otherwise you're not going to have a very motivated soldier are you? You're more likely to have one who will kill his own side in order to gain freedom.
