Who should come first in our stepfamily, my spouse or my children?

    Your children should always come first, in a natural or a stepfamily. At the same time, if you have chosen the right partner, they have married not just one person but an entire family. They should also put your (and their, if they have any) first.

    • This is why there is an epidemic of "entitled" kids these days. Read up on it... Child-centered families feed this notion by making kids believe they are the center of the universe. Everyone should be equally important and no one should have rank over the other. Your spouse will be happier, your kids will be happier (and healthier), and you will be happier.
